Gem School is a homeschool, founded in 2006, as a pre-K-12 education option to prepare its students to cultivate mind, body, and soul and live a life of intentional service through students' talents and passions. Based in Charlottesville, VA, Gem School is designed to nurture the human soul and refinement of students' virtues, curiosity and love of learning, love of the world, deep collaborative and independent study, a broad exposure to arts and sciences with targeted development in areas of interest, awareness of and involvement in social justice, a connection with nature, and exploration of big ideas and themes facing society.
